W(o/a)ndering a(b/r)ou(t/nd) the world with curiosity
As part of the curriculum, in 2nd year we had to write an exposition of a mathematical topic of choice. Descriptive set theory became mine by
pure chance, but I really enjoyed working on it. I didn't expect to enjoy mathematical writing so much. This experience unlocked a part of my brain I was
not aware existed. Now I view all the maths I learn with the question of "how does this fit with what I already knew and is there a story to be told here".
I can't say I'm proud of this essay -- I was rushing quite a lot, and didn't give as much thought and time as I should have. Nevertheless, as a very
first experience I think it's decent. You can find it here.
